The Personal Perspective Behind Every Story
Utah broke my brain in the best way. Scott had shown me photos of Bryce Canyon and I thought they were edited. Nobody's landscape actually looks like that. Then we stood on the rim and looked down at thousands of orange and white hoodoos stretching to the horizon, and I realized the photos don't do it justice. Not even close.
Zion's Narrows, wading through the river with canyon walls a thousand feet above you. Arches at sunrise when you have Delicate Arch almost to yourself. The Milky Way over Capitol Reef so clear you can see colors in it. Utah has this ability to make you feel incredibly small and completely alive at the same time.
But Utah isn't just parks. Park City during Sundance has an energy that rivals any city. Salt Lake City's food scene has quietly become one of the most interesting in the West. Moab's restaurants fuel adventure culture with surprisingly great food. I'm the one who finds these cultural layers while Scott plans the trail logistics.
Scott maps the hikes and times the permits. I find the experiences that turn a road trip into a story. Scott knows which trailhead fills up by 7 AM. I know the restaurant in Springdale where we'll decompress after conquering Angels Landing. Utah deserves both perspectives.
